To me the caption appears below the media after the colorbox link but not within the colorbox.
Attempting to set a custom lightbox caption using tokens doesn't seem to work anymore.
For example:
[media:field_media_image:alt]Report image
This used to work great - showing the alt text for each media image, and then a custom link. But now it only shows the link.
