Offering to maintain Choropleth

I've been searching for a Drupal-powered Choropleth map solution, and wasn't able to find anything flexible enough to accommodate various data sources, as well as variety of visualization options. So I end up writing my own custom module (including JS library) to support views as the source for Choropleth maps. We also have an extended D7 version of the module which allows for more granular configs and works of JSON data files. Currently our implementation is on https://www.boem.gov/renewable-energy/state-activities and is quite limited. I am looking to push this forward, make it D9 compatible, port all D7 improvements and so on.

Looking at the Choropleth project being factually abandoned, I wonder if we could take over and bring it back to life.
