Problem/Motivation

You can quickly glance Drupal and PHP version, type of Web Server, Memory limit, etc. on the Status report page (/admin/reports/status). It would be great to also be able to see the Drush version as well.

Steps to reproduce

Visit Status report page (/admin/reports/status) and see that Drush version is not stated.

Proposed resolution

Add Drush version on Status report page.

It's likely this issue predates Contrib.social: some issue and comment data are missing.

  • The Needs Review Queue Bot → tested this issue. It either no longer applies to Drupal core, or fails the Drupal core commit checks. Therefore, this issue status is now "Needs work".

Apart from a re-roll or rebase, this issue may need more work to address feedback in the issue or MR comments. To progress an issue, incorporate this feedback as part of the process of updating the issue. This helps other contributors to know what is outstanding.

Consult the Drupal Contributor Guide → to find step-by-step guides for working with issues.

So there is no "Drush" module that can be installed and hooked up to the requirements to be able to display the drush version, so the usual method can't work.

Drush is not required for drupal core to work, I do no think we have another example of that kind of information gathering in core.

To me this is out of scope for what core is responsible of, it's easy enough to add in a contrib/custom module if necessary.
