If a substitution plugin returns an URL that contains query parameters and/or anchor, those parts are being stripped. This behavior was introduced in #2895153: Linkit filter should honour the URL query and fragment →
Merge the query parameters and/or anchor of the substitution url with the parameters and anchor of the href attribute, while giving precedence to the values of the substitution url; a substitution could for example contain a translated anchor.
