Very strange thing, but definitely happening: We created a layout section with several paragraphs in it.
Currently, this layout section and its elements shouldn't be visible. So it was set to "NOT published" (removed published checkbox).
In the backend, the layout section is marked as unpublished correctly and all paragraphs within are ordered correctly.
When visiting the resulting page as admin, all elements (also unpublished) appear in the right position and can be previewed correctly.
When visiting the resulting page as guest, one child paragraph from the unpublished layout section is rendered within a DIFFERENT layout section and is visible while it shouldn't be!
As this seems to be fixed in layout_paragraphs ( #3184876: Layout Paragraph Section/Wrapper cannot be Unpublished → ) I'll create a backport for others who still were not able to migrate to layout_paragraphs from ERL.
Perhaps a bugfix dev release is still possible?
