Recruiting new Drupal developers/community members is a possible area of redundancy and inconsistency. Like the Promote Drupal initiative for adopting Drupal for companies, it would be nice to have resources that people could take to an educational setting and other code communities that would present a consistent message about what Drupal is and why someone would want to choose Drupal from the developer perspective.
This would be a great opportunity to clearly define roles and pathways of growth/leadership/experience within the project and the community. It would act as a stepping stone for entry but we will need to be cognizant of how we will support these new members for retention.
A similar resource set to the Promote Drupal Initiative: presentation materials, videos, etc.
