Using 'type' => 'hidden' doesn't work in D9

Error on new site installation:
The "hidden" plugin does not exist. Valid plugin IDs for Drupal\Core\Field\FormatterPluginManager are:

replace 'type' => 'hidden' with 'region' => 'hidden'
