Field group module getting ignored

Situation

I have the field group module installed and want to group fields in my media bulk upload form view.

Problem

The created field groups in my content type form display are not rendered in the media bulk upload form display. They are simply irgnored. The fields inside the field group are rendered as they should.

I'm not quite sure if this a media bulk upload module related issue or a field group module related one.
