Problem:
When in content that has referenced entities as Media (image or videos) there is normally a button to remove/edit it these buttons are not locked until now and you can get odd behaviors like the user can remove or edit that referenced content despite the content is locked.
Proposal:
So a simple solution could add the button tag to the attributes that are locked.

It's likely this issue predates Contrib.social: some issue and comment data are missing.
Just tested on 8.x-2.x
Added a media reference field and the reference button appears to be disabled correctly
Can you confirm?
Tested again with a media reference field and it was disabled too. Going to close for now but if still an issue please reopen.
