We had the need to be able to have Gutenberg editor enabled on core custom Content block types to be able to have more flexibility with content layout there.
For that reason we have assembled a quick patch to allow for Gutenberg editor to be enabled on core custom blocks (excluding Reusable content block types). I have not found any threads indicating whether there can be any potential implications or any better idea of handling it, so the quick patch version seem to do the job for us at the moment.
Can it be considered a future improvement to Gutenberg extended functionality?

This issue seems to be covered by ✨ Add/manage non-reusable content blocks (Drupal blocks) Fixed . Could that be the case? Would it be possible to test the latest 3.x beta and see if the requested functionality is now added?
This is something that I have wanted to use in the block types. Is this patch compatible with the current version of the module?
