NodeStatisticsDatabaseStorage::fetchViews() doesn't return entity ID's

The method fetchViews($ids) of NodeStatisticsDatabaseStorage should return an array of objects, keyed by entity ID, according to the doc comments.
At the moment, the keys of the query are used, so when you pass an array of multiple node id's to this method, you can't know which results belong to which nodes.

    Statistics is approved for removal. See #3266457: [Policy] Deprecate Statistics module in D10 and move to contrib in D11

    This is now Postponed. The status is set according to two policies. The Remove a core extension and move it to a contributed project and the Extensions approved for removal policies.
