Add Revision Log Default module to Drupal core

Created on 8 January 2020, over 5 years ago
Updated 24 June 2025, 12 days ago

Problem/Motivation

Currently, when no revision log message is entered by the editor, there's no indication which fields were updated and it makes the functionality sub-optimal at best. Most users feel confused and need to click on a specific revision to try and understand what was added/modified.

Proposed resolution

With the Revision Log Default β†’ module added to core, the UX is instantly improved without any disruption or learning curve for users.
