Ckeditor + State API + required

The CKEditor doesn't have html5 checking of the required field.
In case if I try to set the required property via State API I'll get a javascript error:
"An invalid form control with name='[myFieldName]' is not focusable."

@quietone I reproduce the error using Drupal 9 and CkEditor 5 too. Should we open a new core issue and link to this one?
