Consider to switch to module "layout_options" in future versions

@thomas.frobieter if this is still a valid consideration, we should perhaps better do this earlier than later to not solve duplicate issues?
Also https://www.drupal.org/project/mercury_editor → should be part of the decision. It uses style_options: https://git.drupalcode.org/project/mercury_editor/-/blob/2.1.x/mercury_e...

I guess that's something different with a different purpose? Just to let you know for a best-possible decision.
