But I don't think the Address module can do it another way.
Question: Is there another way for dynamic form sections? So the new added elements are showing up in the form array? So for example the Address module has no problem to find?

It's likely this issue predates Contrib.social: some issue and comment data are missing.
The patch must be created setting the directory containing the project as current directory. In this way, the patch will always be applicable independently from where the directory containing the project is.
Merge requests have been introduced in drupal.org; let's create a merge request.
Since only merge requests are tested (and checked with other tools like phpcs, phpstan, and eslint), it is better to use them, now.
