Merging the MR was proving challenging, made a small change and merged it manually. I manually tested it and works with layout builder and block layout and simplifies the code.
Also I reverted the code in 🐛 Duplicate menu blocks appear in Layout Builder choose block form Fixed as it does double the work as it was doing
hook_plugin_filter_TYPE__CONSUMER_alter Automatically closed - issue fixed for 2 weeks with no activity.
