Project short name for Open Social not found

When I try to test Open Social, I get an error:

The selected project shortname social could not be found.

So, right now, social does appear in the project dropdown:

BUT I do get an error on installation about composer.lock being inconsistent:

This issue happens with all modules and drupal core for 8.x version.
