Problem/Motivation

Currently, people look for ways to involve their business more in the Drupal Community.

Proposed resolution

I propose the following “I want heading” to be added to /community:

I want to involve my business more in the Drupal community

Many businesses use the free and open-source Drupal software, either as the platform for their web site, or as the basis for their business building Drupal-based web sites for others. Your business can improve its knowledge base, improve its visibility and image, and find expert employees by going beyond using Drupal software and getting more involved in the Drupal community.

Here are some ways that your business can get involved:

• Allow your employees to spend paid work hours improving the software and documentation of the Drupal project. Have them read other sections on this page for more information on how to get involved in this way.
• Attend Drupal events, to both improve your own knowledge and share your knowledge with others. Events include local meetups, regional "camps", and international DrupalCons, and they can be found on https://drupical.com/
• Offer meeting space for a local meetup or regional event. Local and regional groups can be found on the list of regional groups on groups.drupal.org, or by doing a web search
• Provide funds to sponsor a DrupalCon event → or a regional camp (sponsorship information is usually found on each regional event's web site)
• Join the Drupal Association → or become a Drupal Association partner →
• Post a job opening on the Drupal Jobs site
