First of all thank you for this great and very helpful module! It's amazing and helped us a lot in admin UX!
When looking for performance optimization on our Drupal 8 sites for logged in users we again and again found the "get-data" ajax call from coffee is quite slow looking at performance measures (network). For now it's just a note but I think admin performance is an important topic and someone should have a look if that call might be optimized. I guess it might be a loop or mysql calls that could need some love or an index.
The result needs nearly 1s while the whole DOM of the page loads in 0.6s... that's strange and worth having a look, isn't it?
Same measures without and with cleared cache.
I had no time yet to look into it. Perhaps other developers are also interested, so I shared this issue.

I would say coffee can use a similar caching mechanism as the toolbar.
