I think gisle š¬ Offering to maintain User Import Active should be allowed to comment more on that. He has obviously been waiting for an answer from me.

steveoliver last posted on Drupal.org in 2019 and is probably no longer working with Drupal.
I can see no reason not to close this as "Outdated" at this time, for the reasons already stated by apadepo.
If steveoliver should decide to come back, and he still wants to become an maintainer of this project, he can reactivate this issue and perform the required follow-up actions to get this issue rolling again. Based on my experience with these processes, the probability of that happening is Infinitesimal.
