This is spun off from 🌱 [META] Once media is enabled, having the File, Image and Media reference fields all listed is confusing Active .
It's very difficult, at the moment, to understand the difference between "File", "Image", and "Media" field types when creating a new field.
Once ✨ Show field type descriptions when creating a new field Postponed lands, the descriptions of each field will be shown below the field type selection list. We should take advantage of this functionality and improve the descriptions of the File, Image, and Media entity reference field types and explain the difference.
Extract this functionality from the patch in #2862458-97: [META] Once media is enabled, having the File, Image and Media reference fields all listed is confusing → , hammer out the verbiage, and at long last, review and commit.
