Why is this not a patch for Token?

You can use patch from ✨ Consistent tokens support across all entities and fields Needs work . This will provide the UUID token.
I searched for the patch on the token module as this module has problems with providing the UUID field for taxonomy terms.
So this module can be deprecated when the patch gets committed.

Version 2.0.4 should fix the taxonomy term issue. But, I'll leave this issue open for those who want to use the patch instead.
