Hi, I’m also encountering the same problem on Drupal 10.5.1.
Encountered the following problem:
1- Use Group module
2- Add menu field to a group type.
3- Create group, assign menu item field to main menu
4- Go to menu UI, edit menu link. Move parent menu to another Menu.
5- Edit group again. Menu values still reflect menu item is in the Main menu instead of updated menu.
