Do we really need this module - where is the difference to video_embed_field

While looking at the issue #2860796: Plan for contributed modules with Media Entity API in core → and comparing video_embed_field and this module i wonder, if we really need a specific media entity for vimeo. The Source-Type Plugin is already available via video_embed_field and in most cases you want more providers for embedding external videos on your site - in case of video_embed_field, you get youtube and vimeo by default.

Maybe we can "deprecate" this module and combine further functionalities in the video_embed_field module.
