Show count of entries for a field on the "Manage Fields" page

Whenever I review the fields in a content type, I often look into the db to see which fields are unused, or marginally used (eg 0 or few values compared to the others). This data is essential in developing content type structure.

Not all content is available!

It's likely this issue predates Contrib.social: some issue and comment data are missing.

I can see how this would be valuable for auditing a site's content structure, but I don't understand how it would be helpful in developing the structure. There would generally be 0 usage for all fields when developing, right? Or at least very low?

Again I see the value for audits/reviews but I am not sure that justifies placing this data on the page at all times. Or maybe I have misunderstood?

Closing since no further update about why this would be needed on the page at all times. Seems like a potential contrib module, perhaps as part of an audit/review tools suite.
