I realize this may be a duplicate of https://www.drupal.org/node/1291906 → , but since I wasn't able to get Remote Stream Wrapper to do anything at all without the help of this module, I'm asking here:
I have been successful in importing a remote image into an image field on a media entity. However, when I try to edit the media entity to give it a meaningful name/title instead of the filename, I'm not able to save my changes because the image file only accepts file extensions png, gif, jpg, jpeg, and the remote file has no extension.
Is it possible to use the MIME type to infer a file extension for the purposes of satisfying the field validation? Please advise. And thank you for getting me this far.
