We have the same problem with display_field_copy 2.1.0 on Drupal 9.4.4
After installing the module and following instructions located in README.md file, I can't get the copied field to show in the /admin/structure/types/manage/[entity]/display page per step 4.
1. Created copy of field (see copy-field-1.jpg) and named it 'custom link copy'
2. Navigated to /admin/structure/types/manage/[content type name]/display (see copy-field-2.jpg)
3. Under no available display is the 'custom link copy' field available... Only the original 'custom link' field.
What am I missing? It would be nice is config instructions were more detailed.

It's likely this issue predates Contrib.social: some issue and comment data are missing.
We have the same problem with display_field_copy 2.1.0 on Drupal 9.4.4
