Add field (machine) name to Add field selection window

Please add the field name (field_my_custom_field) to the Add field selection window. It shows the field "label" and the table(s) in which it is used, but that's not always enough. Because there is no way to override the field label on the "Manage Form Display" page, the field label that we wish the user to see when adding/editing a content type has to be the one assigned to the field on the "Manage Fields" page.

Example use case... We have two pairs of fields: month and year for Expected Departure and Expected Arrival. Instead of showing it like this on the form:

Expected Departure Month: [ field input item here ]
Expected Departure Year: [ field input item here ]
Expected Arrival Month: [ field input item here ]
Expected Arrival Year: [ field input item here ]

We'd rather show them inside fieldsets, like this:

Expected Departure:
     Month: [ field input item here ]
     Year: [ field input item here ]
Expected Arrival:
     Month: [ field input item here ]
     Year: [ field input item here ]

The problem is when selecting the fields for placement in a View, it only shows (for example) "Month", and "Appears in: my_content_type". [See screenshot.] The actual field name there would be very helpful.

Thank you for sharing your idea for improving Drupal.

We are working to decide if this proposal meets the Criteria for evaluating proposed changes. There hasn't been any discussion here for over 8 years which suggests that this has either been implemented or there is no community support. Your thoughts on this will allow a decision to be made.

Since we need more information to move forward with this issue, the status is now Postponed (maintainer needs more info). If we don't receive additional information to help with the issue, it may be closed after three months.
