I managed to install Simplenews and Swiftmailer and it works fine. But how can I tell Simplenews to send attached files not only as a link to the file, but as a file attachment? I can't find a way to do that. Is this a Simplenews or a Swiftmailer issue or anything else? Can you help me? Thanks in advance.

It's likely this issue predates Contrib.social: some issue and comment data are missing.
For anyone looking for a way to attach files to emails, I've updated the patch to work with symfony_mailer.
Note also that the newsletter has to be set to use HTML format for attachments to be added.
Not sure why attachments aren't also added to plain text format newsletters?
