Distinguish config_views from config_view and consider project page update

Summary edited by @dqd on 04.09.24:

There are 2 projects in the contrib area of Drupal.org trying to covering the support of configuration entities in Views to be able to create Views views and lists of other content and configurations than node content, users and terms. This is not only a very needed addition to the contrib universe of Drupal, it is also to be considered an idea which maybe should be discussed to become part of core. Therefor the community thanks for all the efforts in both projects.

But this is also why it is important to distinguish the 2 almost identical projects config_view and config_views and to respectfully discuss the option to merge forces or abandoned one for the other. This would not only help the maintainers and contributors to merge forces, but also would help users to not get confused from one over the other because of the almost identical name.

As of today (4th of Sept. 2024) it seems that this project here is unsupported and unmaintained (see screenshot from comment #9) so it is a possible task to consider to contact the maintainers of this project and ask for future plans and thoughts on this.

@geoanders not sure why you think this should be closed as outdated... it is not a code fix.

This issue needs immediate work where sadly nobody else than the maintainers their self can do something. Especially after this project's status here is "unsupported" and "not maintained". While I do not agree with the way the issue has been reported here becasue every effort of contribution in the community is welcome and should be treated with respect and kindness (I updated the summary accordingly), we need to fix this because it is not only an unmaintained duplicate of the other project, it also could confuse average users and let them accidentally install this project here, while they actually wanting to install the other.

I will try to ping one of the maintainers on Slack if they are available before considering further steps.

Please be kind and thankful for each Drupal contribution and try to solve issues always with the most possible empathy for all involved. Thanks for understanding.
