Here is an updated patch that uses the chosen_placeholder_text_multiple and chosen_placeholder_text_single but it is targeting 7.x-2.1. It would need to redone for 7.x-2.x branch.
I created a path for add aria label attribute for accesibility. Because in another case the validation with compliance 508 fail.
