Empty states is missed for Element

I came across a situation where I needed to empty the value of a text field when a checkbox or radio has been selected.
At the moment the documentation is listing all the possible states assignable to the element, but I can't see the "empty" value.
check the list of possible states here: https://api.drupal.org/api/drupal/core!includes!common.inc/function/drup...

This is just assignable to the remote element for checking purpose but not for assigning to the element itself.
Would be nice to add this functionality to the form api, otherwise as dev you would need to adopt custom javascript solution to carry out this particular check.

Has anyone else ever come across the same issue?
Do you find the feature request useful for the api?

We are working to decide if this proposal meets the Criteria for evaluating proposed changes. There hasn't been any discussion here for over 8 years which suggests that this has either been implemented or there is no community support. Your thoughts on this will allow a decision to be made.

Since we need more information to move forward with this issue, the status is now Postponed (maintainer needs more info). If we don't receive additional information to help with the issue, it may be closed after three months.
