Display list in view can get too long

In many of our projects we tend to create a view and named it “Content Blocks” or “Content Lists” where we place all view displays of type block or page respectively. Depending on the size of project, view displays can vary in number.

As a developer, I find that it would help to rather (after a certain number of view displays e.g 10 ) that, the list of buttons changes to a drop down list that is in ascending / descending order (may there could also be an option for that).

Or perhaps the user can have the ability to select how to layout the display views. Like the choice in what mode of display we would like to view a paragraph field that the Paragraphs module provides.

Thank you for sharing your idea for improving Drupal.

We are working to decide if this proposal meets the Criteria for evaluating proposed changes. There hasn't been any discussion here for over 8 years which suggests that this has either been implemented or there is no community support. Your thoughts on this will allow a decision to be made.

Since we need more information to move forward with this issue, the status is now Postponed (maintainer needs more info). If we don't receive additional information to help with the issue, it may be closed after three months.
