[meta] Node Order 8.x Roadmap

Problem/Motivation

The Node Order module should have a stable Drupal 8 release.

Proposed resolution

Implement missing features and cleanup Node Order module so that it is a feature complete and maintainable Drupal 8 module.

Remaining tasks

• Code review and clean up
• Review and standardize naming conventions and namespaces.
• Use vocabulary's third party settings → to properly track and manage nodeorder settings.
• Add (drag-n-drop) orderable links to node view
• Review and write more tests
• Review README.txt
• Update the Node Order project page

User interface changes

Node order page will support drag-n-drop weighting.

API changes

• Namespacing
• Standardization

Data model changes

None

Notes

• Code needs to be visually cleaned up before any refactoring can begin.
• Might be worth adding a NOTE.md to help maintainers. http://cgit.drupalcode.org/yamlform/tree/NOTES.md
• D7 and D8 maintainer need to be documented.
• Avoid beta release until all API changes are done. API changes should really only have occurred in the alpha releases.
