[meta] Advanced search/view with advanced layout

I want to build a page similar to the module search page → on Drupal.org, but with more advanced layout control using the Page Manager → module.

This is currently possible in D7, but needs some work in D8.

1. Add support to create Facets from Block display views: #2678486: Views block display support →
2. Allow exposed forms in blocks for Block display views: #2681947: Allow 'Put the exposed form in a block' setting to be used with views block displays → - This is required because the only way to embed a view into a Page Manager page is as a block display.
3. Make it possible to preserve the URL query parameters for exposed forms: ✨ Allow exposed form to preserve URL query parameters Postponed: needs info - This is required to make it work nicely with Facets (that are not part of the exposed form).

Thank you for creating this issue to improve Drupal.

We are working to decide if this task is still relevant to a currently supported version of Drupal. There hasn't been any discussion here for over 8 years which suggests that this has either been implemented or is no longer relevant. Your thoughts on this will allow a decision to be made.

Since we need more information to move forward with this issue, the status is now Postponed (maintainer needs more info). If we don't receive additional information to help with the issue, it may be closed after three months.
