Frontpage view is confusing when only one node is promoted to the default front page

Problem/Motivation

The user saw a page shown on the front page, and got alarmed thinking it was accidentally created as the site's homepage.
The reason of why this is happening is due that they are not many differences between front page and nodes pages.

As you can see in the image above there are only two difference:

  1. The menu color are different. In the node page is blue and in the front page is gray.
  2. Buttons from the views, "Read more about Article 1" "Add new comment"

There is already a project that is trying to solve the same issue Empty Front Page β†’

Proposed resolution

  • Remove the view Frontpage (Content) from the front page and add a block that said welcome and some information about Drupal.
  • Another possible solution would be to style the view so the user can tell the different between a front page or nodes pages.

I originally came here to close this as outdated or something since it hasn't been updated in 10 years.

I was however a bit surprised to see that while we do now have some intro text on the default frontpage on standard without any content, the problem is essentially unchanged on D11 standard with olivero once you have an article.

Moving to node for now, because it's essentially about the default frontpage view provided by the node module. I think fundamentally, this is a fairly basic accessibility problem. The default frontpage in Standard install profile has no h1/page title, which is not correct and should be addressed. If the view would have a
above block or so that says something like "Recent content" or something, this would IMHO sufficiently solve this. The hard part is probably finding a useful title. The page title is just "Home". For simplicy, we could start there so that they are in sync?

I'm not really sure what the goal is here but we'll need a rewrite of the IS.

That's not true, the h1 and page title is "Welcome!". IMO the Standard install's homepage has a lot of useful information on it now.

If anything, I guess we could expand the line "You haven’t created any frontpage content yet."

Here's a screenshot of the current Standard homepage.

Yes, but the Welcome! is a "no results override", that's exactly the problem. The view has no default title.
