Use proper "password" wording instead of "pass"

There are 252 occurrences of the word 'pass' in Drupal 8 core. The majority of these are representing password(s). From semantic and DX POV this is really bad and should be fixed by replacing those occurrences with the proper word 'password'.

If this would be a case of 'accept' vs 'acceptable' then it would not be such a big deal. Bud the word 'pass' and 'password' are not on that same level. Hence they should be interchangeable.

This goes for function and method names too, not just for url arguments or form element names.

    Thanks for the idea.

It has been 10 years and there has been no interest in pursing this feature request. And it is true that there are there are usage of 'pass' in core when it should be 'password'. However, none of those are user facing so at best this is minor priority. It would also be difficult to automate this to prevent future use of 'pass' instead of 'password'.

I think this proposal doesn't met the Criteria for evaluating proposed changes . In this case, there is not demonstrated demand and support for the change.
