As noted in https://www.drupal.org/project/search_api_spellcheck/issues/2433817 ✨ Recommendation showing even if there is results Active , linking a user to a corrected spelling, which only nets in a search with zero results is a bad user experience.
Misspell a search term with 0 results.
Do the additional query from the recommendation beforehand, and do not display it if it contains no results.
