Use classes instead of inline CSS in Views automatic width option

Problem/Motivation

At the moment Views automatic width option will create inline CSS to .views-col and it's hard to change in CSS when needed. http://cgit.drupalcode.org/drupal/tree/core/modules/views/views.theme.inc#n807

Proposed resolution

Maybe 1-12 columns and anything more than that could dealt with custom CSS? Or an option to do inline styles with tokens based on the columns may be worth a look.

This doesn't seem to be happening anymore? I imagine it got cleaned up somewhere in the past 10 years.

Feel free to reopen if I overlooked something and we still need to so something here.
