Support all core entities

I know this is a very unprofessional post, but it's mostly to spur the topic of why this is only availiable for nodes and not for something like term references and other entities?

I know that increases complexity quite a bit... but this is D7 and not D6 where I would expect to see a node only module, and I think this would be an awesome alternative step... step toward a solution... in relations to the following tickets:
