[meta] Display issues with Simple Google Maps

This issue exists as a central place to list issues that have been reported with trying to get a map to display properly using the Simple Google Maps module.

The problem is that there are bugs in Google Maps itself, and embedded dynamic maps do not always display properly inside of tabs, collapsed fieldsets, and similar HTML constructions. See the child issues for more specific information.

There is not a way for this module to fix Google Maps bugs. The only "cure" is to either not use tabs, fieldsets, etc. or possibly to use a static map instead of a dynamic map (version 7.x-1.2 and later of this module supports static maps, which do not have zooming and panning, but should have better behavior inside tabs and other spots like that). Or to hope that Google fixes the problem. Sorry.
