I looked around for a documentation page on how to prepopulate issue values, but couldn't find one, so I created How to prefill values in a new issue → .
On api.drupal.org we have File an Issue links on every page. For instance,
https://api.drupal.org/api/drupal/includes!actions.inc/function/actions_...
there is a link to file an issue, which takes you to
https://drupal.org/node/add/project-issue/drupal?component=documentation...
This attempts to set up an issue... It's mostly working, but the Category and Version parameters in the URL do not work any more. The current link uses "&categories=bug&version=156281", but this isn't working. The component and body seem to be working OK.
If there is a way to set category and version in the URL, then we can fix the URL that is generated in the apidrupalorg project, and this issue should be moved there.
If there is no way to set category and version from the URL, then this needs to be fixed in Project Issue.
