Create admin interface for managing Entities

Has this been thought about? Does anything exist out there for this? If not, is there a reason this doesn't exist?

I think it would be great to have one, singular place to manage Entity fields / information.

The user should be able to:

  • View/modify entity details
  • Add/manage bundles to entities
  • Add/manage fields for bundles

With everything in one central location, it would be really easy to manage the fields for everything.
The user would be able to (for example):

  • Add a new user bundle (allowing for separate user types with different fields on each type)
  • Add a new comment bundle

    Thank you for sharing your idea for improving Drupal.

    We are working to decide if this proposal meets the Criteria for evaluating proposed changes. There hasn't been any discussion here for over 8 years which suggests that this has either been implemented or there is no community support. Your thoughts on this will allow a decision to be made.

    Since we need more information to move forward with this issue, the status is now Postponed (maintainer needs more info). If we don't receive additional information to help with the issue, it may be closed after three months.
