Allow users to authenticate with only an email account

Forked from Allow users to login using either their username OR their e-mail address Active

Usability improvement: replace "request new password" user page with "connect through email" user page. If the user does not have an account, an account is automatically created for him and a random password generated. The user logins to the site through his connection token. The user never sets a new password (which is likely to be insecure or forgettable) but instead maintains his session cookie as long as possible, until he connects through email again.

This reduces friction in the login process for sites that are one-time use and increases their security.

So this kind of a feature seems like it's perfect as a contrib module, like SAML, as it's a very specific use case that most likely a majority of sites wouldn't need.

If anyone disagrees please reopen explaining why

    Thanks!
