This appears to be a bug, though I suppose it might be a support issue. Here's the state of things:
The following code is inserted in the body field.
[[{"type":"media","view_mode":"media_small","fid":"2","attributes":{"alt":"","class":"media-image","title":"Wingsuit Basejumping - The Need 4 Speed: The Art of Flight","typeof":"foaf:Image"}}]]
Now, this displays fine on the View page, but in the edit window, the media_small presets do not seem to be applied (see attached). The small image above the large one is a traditional image file inserted using the same preset, and it is applying the image preset assigned to the 'small' display.
For the 'small' file display for images and video, I have the oEmbed Thumbnail dimensions set to 180x60, and the image dimensions set to use the thumbnail_square core preset. But in the WISIWYG the image appears at 1280x730 -- which seems to be the original size of the preview image provided by Vimeo.
I also tested with a YouTube video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PKUDTPbDhnA) and the preview image appears at 480x360, which also appears to be the default size coming from YouTube.
Any insight here? Does this happen to others?
