Please disregard the patch in #17. That patch was missing untracked files from my diff.
Updated patch for compatibility with entity_usage 2.4.0
I converted the patch to a merge request and also updated the call to entityManager to use entityTypeManager. Also confirmed that this is still an issue.

Hi @smustgrave, we are still actively using this module, and we are still updating it as needed to address any bugs or resolve compatibility issues. But, we're not doing any more feature development on it. Are there specific concerns you have about performance?
