OK, so I suspected that the server install of Drupal 10, which was via Softaculous, was corrupted. So I bit the bullet and installed DDEV locally and installed a copy of Drupal 10, and lo and behold, it worked fine with no weird screwing up of editor toolbars. However, I now have a different issue, which is that attempting to copy back the newly created instance onto the server has lead to a WSOD. I made sure to dump the existing db files and import the exported sql from the local server, I made sure the settings.php had the correct server db settings and all other referenced items from settings.local and settings.ddev, but no joy. I am wondering if there is a hidden config file somewhere that doesn't like the folder structure on the remote server, which uses the typical public_html space for files instead of the default 'web' folder that Drupal creates. Checking the php log there don't appear to be any errors, nor is there anything in watchdog when viewed vi phpMyAdmin. So now I'm at a total loss. There doesn't seem to be a good guide on setting up deployment workflows using DDEV on a Windows machine to a hosted server. Any pointers would be gratefully received.
As a new user and having just tried to raise an issue which needed an image to illustrate, I can fully concur this is a stupid limitation
well that didn't work - how does one share images in this forum, seems to restrict everything?
yes this forum won't let me upload images or attach them. Trying this...
