Yes... I can confirm that I am still having the same issue as noted in comment 3 above.

Thank for the patch but afterwards I am still having an issue. When I choose "Create New" and add a new contact with an apostrophe, a backslash is added to the field that shows the name of the new contact. The backslash is not include in the newly created contact but it is confusing to the person submitting the webform. See the 2 screenshots I added. The 2nd one is after a select "Create New".
