I've got the same error like cebab54
I've installed the module with composer but also got the error when clearing the cache

@wombatbuddy, I've found the problem.
The media source of media type image was using 'generic media' as media source. This was the old way I think when d8 came out.
But when I created a new media type with 'image' as media source, the migration is succesful.
Upgraded my website to Drupal 10.1.2 and got the same results. The images aren't shown in the backend (media overview) and the media name isn't also converted

Is this possible to get in the new release?
I'm running Drupal 9.5.10.
The image field contains multiple images and is used among several content types.
Did restore a backup and tried is again, with them same results.
I consider this as a bug. Data is lost during migration which is a high critical bug.
Also the media overview won't display the thumbnails. How can you close the issue without a solution
I don't think that open source works like that :)
