The code from #8 🐛 Overlay blocking image upload modal in Drupal 10.1 Fixed seems to resolve this for us too but we also had issues applying it on 2.0.0.
We applied the patch from #9 🐛 Overlay blocking image upload modal in Drupal 10.1 Fixed and it works nicely.
